New nano plans

Just after a bit of feedback with a nano I am currently planning.

Tank will be 40x12x12"
Circulation: closed loop, inlet one end outlet the other. I want to have the whole water column moving in one direction. Probably around 1500l/h pump on the closed loop.

Lighting will be 4 T5's. I plan to have mostly SPS with some softies and LPS.

Stand will be DIY. Tank will sit around head hight and attached to the wall so that it does not fall over. This will also give me lots of room under the cabinet for extra stuff. Stand at this stage will be clad in black or dark grey stone. Probably honed granite or possibly quartzite.

Back glass will be black. Silicone will be black and sand will be black.
Still figuring out where to put or if to put overflows and return pump.

I plan on making the corals and fish really stand out against the black. Not sure on fish/invertebrate selection yet.

ATO, skimmer and sump will be DIY.

I am posting now as I have purchased nothing and so I am still flexible. Any ideas or potential problems you can see would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Scott

you might not want to go so high with the tank. I've found that it's very hard to clean the tank the higher up it is. but that's just my 2 cents

Yeah I know but it is only shallow so may not be so hard. Maybe if the tank is just over 4'? That will still leave me with a bit if room.
