New Oceanic 58 Reef Ready

Nice setup Matt.... I wish I had a place I could put my tank in the wall, but until then, I am going to have to live with cramming it all in a stand beneath it.

Looks good. The tunze's look nice in there. My 58 is sitting on the floor. Hopefully by winter it will be up and running. So the overflow goes right into the RS skimmer without any pump right? Are you sill using the Eheim 1250 or did you go with the 1260? I see the valve going into the skimmer is fully open and I’m wondering which return pump you are using and if you skimmer is handling all of the flow. Did you get that frogspawn at the Cleveland frag swap? I sold a few pieces. Where did you get the stand?

Nano:

Thanks, the overflow is plumbed into a small chamber on the right side of the sump... there is then a pump that feeds the RS80.

I am using the Eheim 1260, and highly recommend it. I had the 1250 hooked up, but it was way too weak... I am currently using the 1250 as a way overpowered top off pump.

I got a ton of stuff at the CSEA frag swap, but not the frog spawns. The white frog spawn came from Aquatic Tech in Columbia Station... overpriced, but I don't see them too often and everyone who sees it comments on it. The green tip came from Salty Critter.

I bought the stand from Aquarium Adventure in Cleveland. They are way overpriced, but they had it in stock, and I had a 30% off coupon, so it made the price right. I had to cut holes in it to use a reef ready on it, but I called Oceanic and they said that it was fine to use it for the Reef Ready tank.

Thanx! It's taken me over a year  I figured that it was a true DIY project. We just need to pick out the carpet now.
