New osmolator magnet question

So I do not have a sump and would like to set up my osmolator in my display. The new magnet looks very intriguing but I am wondering if it is even possible to mount it with the black trim that goes around a lot of tanks, including mine. Any ideas?

Yes, the outside magnet is a nano magnet holder body and the inside magnet is a Stream 2 magnet holder body so there is a built in offset of about 3/4" to accomodate the tank trim.
