New Osmolator problem

Hi Rodger;
Finally purchased an osmolator for top off. Tired of the cheap float switches and manual top off.

So the problem is, water level drops a fair bit below the sensor and does not refill. Currently over an inch below. Checked everything I have read and/or can think of. Green light is on controller.

It does work as I can get it to activate sometimes by removing it and putting it back or once I activated the high level float and when let go and shut off the refill sensor activated.

Need to figure this out soon. Leaving for a week soon and normal tank sitter is away also, so manual top off is not going to be the best option for my other sitter.

Any ideas would be welcome
Thanks

Hi Doug,

There is only one of two things that can cause this, water clinging to the sensor, usually between the holder and sensor or a defective sensor. You mention that moving it causes it to work so I would check that the sensor is not mounted at an angle or on the wrong sensor holder so water clings between the holder and the sensor.

Thanks Rodger. I will check that out, although dont think water cling is the problem. Forgot to mention, if I unplug the controller and plug it back in, the sensor will activate, pump some water and then shut down.
