New pest

I have lately seen that my orange Montipora digitata have shown less polyps and thought some fish was nipping at it. Yesterday I disscovered som small black dots (0,5mm) moving slowly along the branch. I disscovered the same pest on M.capricornis but not on any of my Acropora sp.

Any idea what it could be?

I am sorry, but I don’t have a macro lence to my Canon camera so I was not able to take a good picture of it.

My plan is to test Interseptor on a sample of the infected coral.

I have noticed the exact same thing in my tank. Extremely small black dots, like black grains of salt, that can move quite rapidly. They're not red, so I don't think they're red bugs, but maybe someone can help us out here. I can't provide a pic because they're simply too small.

i nuked them the same time i killed off my red bugs.

I am sure that you nuked them with Interseptor. If you used other metods I will gladly to know about them :D

So far so good

So far so good

Better polyp extension and color. lost all hermits coral crabs but banded shrimp seem to be making it through the treatment without harm.
