where do you have the ric located in the tank and what kind of lights are you using?i found my rics liked to be low in my tank and not super strong light or flow.

he is in low flow. high light, but I use a 55 watt pc so its not really "high" light

thanks the ric is like oozing down lol like moveing but he still looks healthy, just not open. ALSO I have a large brown zoa that is progressively getting more and more white spots on his back side? He seems to be doing great though. Any ideas what it could be?

If it is the one that you got from me he is a Sun zoanthid, Palythoa grandis , you should start to see alot more color from him. Here is a pic of what mine are looking like at the moment, if you look closely you can see the head reforming from where I cut yours off
