New Pics

Everything has grown well since my last posting. My son got a Nikon D70s for Christmas. Even without the macro lens it takes some nice pics. If you're not a fan of 20KK MH then you might not like the colors. Also, it is a little weird to see through the tank. Next time I'm using a back drop on the other side...

Oh...WOW! I love the shots! Your ricordia is simply beautiful!!! I have never seen them with the purple skirts like that. I really dig the monti too... very, very nice.

Hey Mike

Thanks

Like I said, the 20KK bulbs really blast the color. It takes a little (very little) getting used to. The orange and blue weren't nearly as pronounced under my old 10KK bulbs.

Love the zoa rainbow rocks.......I really enjoy them when all you see is polyps from one color change to the other.....way cool!!!!

Do you like my carrier urchin's impersonation of Mr. Bill from SNL?

I was stuck on that shot for the longest trying to figure where you were goin with that. At first I thought you were making a "so what?" statement hehe ;) Now that you say that though that is a perfect rendition! Ooooh noooo!!!! 8O

Great pictures. What camera are you using?

When clipped the extra tie wrap off a pump mounting it got away from me. The urchin picked it up along with some valonia.

I saw the pic a few times myself before it dawned in me. I guess I'm dating myself.

Ding Dong, pizza Delivery, ooooh noooo.

The shot of the SPS with my dining room behind is one of my favorites. Mr. Bill has a cameo in that one too :)

Really great shots. How 'bout a full tank shot? Such great colors, which 20K's are you using? BTW, I like seeing through the tank and that carrier urchin is something else.

Hey John

Thanks.

I posted some full tank shots last time. There are a couple in my RC gallery.

I have three 250W 20KK DE XM bulbs plus two 100W 50/50 PCs over over my tank. All are on in these pictures.

That shot of the SPS with my dining room behind it is my one of my favorites.

Hey Chris

No macro lens no macro mode. The Nikon D70s is an SLR. It does have a macro mode but all these shots were taken in manual focus mode.

I did have the color enhancing mode on in some of the shots. The colors are pretty close to what it looks like with the MH and PCs on when the room is dark.
