New Pigoda Question?

I got a new pigoda coral, this is also my first coral. I have noticed it doesnt always stay bloomed(dont know if thats what you call it). Ive noticed that the damsels might be bothering it. Ive been trying to capture my damsels, but no success. I was wondering if I should return the pigoda and get something else in its place, or wait it out and let it get used to its new home? Ive had it now for 3 days now. I also bought a torch and its doing great!!

You'll get more answers in the SPS forum, as Pagodas are not 'soft corals'.

Pagoda corals, or Turbinaria Sp. are relatively difficult, and not really a good first coral. They need more attention than most starter corals. Do some research on them: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=521

I doubt the damsels (what kind?) would be bothering it, they're pretty easy on corals.

It's a good idea to start with some easier corals like mushrooms, some soft corals, etc.

Thanks for the reply. After looking at liveaquaria site that is not the kind of coral that i have. Thats what the guy told me it was at the LFS. Unless there are several types of them. This one that I have looks like a lare rock with bumps that look like zits when the coral isnt blossomed. Do you think I have the right name of this coral. Sorry no pic of it, i will post a pic if need be.

Hmmm.. large rock with bumps kinda describes most corals. I would look through live aquaria's or marine depot live's sites and see if you can find a similar coral. that would be a start.
