In Memoriam
I just thought they were cool on the site that I found them at, but they are much prettier in person.
I bought a rock covered in these pretty palys and wanted to show it to all of the softie softies here.

Not that Zoanthidae taxonomy is worth a jot, but most people would probably consider these more akin to a Zoanthus sp. than Protopalythoa

:) glenn, well they are twice the size of zoos so they are'nt zoos.
They are really cool and I am surprised at how fast they are multiplying. I have about 10 new babys around the outside of the colony already.
I have them backed up to a large bare baserock in hopes it will spread onto it.

Thank you Brokken. Want to also say that ReeferMaddness has the last two of these marked down if anyone is looking for some.
How old is your tank Brokken?
And do you feed your tank at all?
I feed Coralvibrance and also mysis to all of the palys and shrooms.

My tank is 1 1/2 years old and don't really feed at all. I understand that palys will take macro-food, but can do just as well living off zoxantellaen and by nutrient absorption.
Zoas do well (some would say exceptionally well) in my tank, but any paly - short of erupting into flames the moment it goes into my tank will shrivel and die. I don't know why.

One of those things that mysteriously don't seem to like a given tank for no good reason, methinks.

Wheres the pink?

They have some in there someplace, just hard to find:)
The picture kind of fades them out, they have a pink tone to them but not bright pink. You have to look hard.:)
