New Powder Blue Tang

We got a new powder blue tang yesterday. The fish is very healthy looking and picks at the rocks all day but won't eat any of the food i feed(mysis, sea weed veggies on a clip spirula, and prime reef). Any suggestions on how to get him to eat?

Soak some nori in garlic and he should go after it soon. That's about all mine still eats to this day - other then nipping at rocks constantly.

try nori on the clip.

just give it time. my did the same thing. wont eat anything i feed. i keep feeding brine shrimp everyday, until 3 days ago,the day b/f i went to macna it started eat brine shrimp. this morning it start to eat mysis as well.

It took my tangs a couple of days to eat off the clip but only a day to pick off the nori wraped onto a piece of rubble.

yeah be patient he will come around.

Eating isn't a priority when your environment has been disrupted. Once the fish feels safe it will remember it's hungry.

Still not eating. Maybe he just needs a little more time to adapt. Thanks for all your responses!
