Can I please get a response about this issue??? the latest profiluxcontrol still renders it useless for me.

We we at least get a version of profiluxcontrol that has the "save" and "load" buttons accessible through a menu at the top or something???????????

I finally just upgraded my firmware to 4.01 and profilux control as well.

I am very dissapointed that the software is rendered useless for me now. My laptop displays a maximum of 800x600, and the program used to just barely show the Save and Load buttons at the bottom. Now the program has expanded and the buttons are offscreen, and there is no other way to access them that I can see.

Please tell me I am missing something. I certainly hope GHL is keeping 800x600 users in mind with future updates.

Can I revert to the the old version without problems???? Whats the most recent 'old' version that will still work for me??

I am very frustrated. It was a pain for me to find drivers to display at 800x600 in the first place (normally 800x480), and now I am back to square one :P

I can see that more as an issue for those that want to control a profilux with their phones, but a lap top that can only display in 800x600 must be ancient. That sucks though, hopefully there is a fix soon.

its bran new actually, an asus EEE, and I bought it specifically for my profilux, so it kinda sucks :(

Are sure the drivers are correct? That's a very low resolution for a new laptop.

thanks!

ciefzod, yes I am sure. the EEE is a mini laptop, only about 8" wide. its smaller than the profilux itself.

its native resolution is 800x480, I had to install modified drivers in order to unlock 800x600 mode. I can unlock 1024x768 but then none of the text is readable due to bad sampling. there is a pan-oversample mode (where the mouse pans on the edges of the screen) but for some reason that driver setting is extremely buggy and causes alot of problems.

Thanks Mathiass!

heres what it looks like

Ryan, there is not one single other report of this on the global network, it is not a profilux issue but the lap top. The issue is the small 8" screen you are using.

Sorry buddy. However matthias will work on a get around for you personally.

im just saying that the previous version (3.08 I think) worked absolutely fine. It easily fit on the 800x600 screen, I just had to set the taskbar to 'auto-hide'. I downloaded and used profiluxcontrol and measured it before buying this laptop specifically for the profilux.

I just didnt know the program was going to get larger in the newer version.

it is not easy to place all buttons, tables and other controls in such a small screen, that was the reason to increase the window size

It's great news for me :)
I'm use 7" touchscreen to my aquarium microPC. Nominal resolution is 800x480 and I have the same problem.

GHL do try and accomodate everyones requests, even if they are non standard or a rare requirment.

I think this is what sets GHL miles ahead from any other company, a true dedication to the clients that purchase.
