I think the CVRC decided to adopt the tank I set up at the Tanning Salon as Project Reef Tank, So I thought you all might like to see some Pictures of the tank.
Is that a green foil backgroung behind the tank?? I would remove it it throws the color of the tank way off anf it looks trashy lol But thats just mt 2 cents
Besides that its a great start those are some nice base rock peices too.
no actually it isn't green foil something to do with the light I am sure,. But honestly I never looked at the background before posting the pictures. It is just a regular saltwater scene tank background. Most likely the green plants on either side of the tank reflecting through the glass.
Hey they don't even budge from their favorite spot when I feed the skunks either. I don't know I hope they survive, Since the tangs won't eat I am a little worried about their surviving. LOL
I'd get a normal deep blue background. I'm not a bi fan of the "picture" backgrounds. I think they look dumb. That's like putting fake plastic corals in a reef tank...I have some orange zoa frags I got from Phil. They are small, but whenever the proper lighting is in place, I can ship them to you Mary, or whoever.
Good idea to post these pics, so people know there really is a project reef tank to donate to. I second the blue background. But what you have is way better than seeing the wires hanging down the back. Hate that.
looking good! hey speaking of those yellow tangs they look just like the one in my tank and it don't move either.?. I agree with the background, I'm about to ditch the yellow tang and paint the back blue.
Thanks guys, The background was a donation from Barry at Jo-Mars, and was the only one he had in stock to fit the tank that day. Plus it is way better than the first one. But I agree with blue or black. I have black at home and really like it. But may do my next one in blue.
