New protein skimmer advice!

Hi everyone!

I Recently took out the sand bed of my 36 gallon bow front and its such a relief to not worry about sand blowing every where. My only issue now is my Aqua c remora. I swear this thing puts out more microbubbles into the tank than anything ive seen before. When it works "right" it never really produces anything really dark. So im looking for a new skimmer! ive narrowed it down to:

-Bubble magus nac5/E3
-Reef octopus bh 1000

any suggestions?

I would look at the newer Reef Octopus BH 90 for a HOB.

+1 I have seen a couple of these up close and personal at a LFS and they seem to really pull some serious gunk out of the aquarium.

That thing looks pretty awesome. Its like have a HOB sump skimmer.

I just watched some videos and read some reviews and the bh 90 seems to be a great skimmer. Its funny, not until after i bought the aqua c remora (thinking it was top of the line) i started seeing all the bad reviews and warnings. go figure.

I actually got a bubble magus curve 7. They are the most available. I was a little skeptical but it is really great and a quality piece of gear. Reef Octopus is outrageously expensive here...
