How can you afford all these corals on a Pastor's salary? Has anyone from your congregation seen your tank? :furious: , Anyone smell Jimmy Baker here? Don't get bent it's a question, My church runs solely on donation and no one gets paid in the congregation. Just seems like you have a lot of disposable cash for doing gods work :lol: .

This thread is making me bent now! First Im in awe by this awesome plate that looks like an RBTA. Then taken back by what I thought were rude assumptions. So then I started looking at the equipment, and then the post count and time stamp....
Cant help but feeling corals b 4 bills' conviction now

I don't really understand what your trying to say.....
I'm sorry if I offended anyone by buying this since I am a pastor, but the money I use on my tank is used solely from a website I own plus money I make reselling or trading corals.

OBTW every piece of equipment you see in my signature was purchased USED except for the reactor which my friend gave me a month to pay him for.
Also just so you know every coral in the first picture, i traded for except the very bottom small scoly and the new plate. These are the first coral i have actually bought in a long time....

Rev... I don't know you from a hole in the wall but I see no need to defend or explain yourself, the equipment you own, and how you paid for it all. Pretty rude assumptions made by 2 posters in this thread and have thrown it way off track
BTW: That fungia is absolutely beautiful!!! Very very nice piece!

I am not angry, but it's kinda touchy with me since I know what I make and what I use my money for...
I know that I gave over 20% of my income back into the ministry. I know that I haven given free corals away and shipped them to people with terminal illnesses. I know that I help people in my community. I know the struggle I have had financially in the past because I love God and people and I choose to take a lower paid job and I wouldn't do anything else because i do.
I am by no means a saint and yes money I spend on this hobby could be used better probably at a billion other places, but this is my hobby.
On that note I wouldn't trade what i do for the money Bill Gates has. My treasure is laid up in heaven not on earth.

A bit out of line, but they don't realize that you continually grow out and sell some of the sweetest zoas and other corals to guys like me! Nice pickup Rev.

The Rev. seems like a decent guy but why doesn't he have to defend his income? Jessey Jackson sure wears some pretty nice suits, when you live on donated dollars and show pictures of corals that I can't justify myself on a world wide website of course you may have to explain yourself to some extent. Just because a person does gods work doesn't mean that I have to turn a blind eye. He said that he makes other money and I belive him, so lets move on people, sorry Rev.

But just to clarify, donated dollars or not most full time ministers work very hard, and I dare say just as hard as many in the regular work force. Being a Pastor is a year round job, 24/7. I earn my income from a Christian school that we have. None of my pay come from the plate, and if it did that's fine too.
Also there is nothing wrong with ministers having nice things........
