Hi guys, just decided to start my first marine tank with the impressive RSM C-250. I'm on day 3 of the RSM mature reef 21 day plan I'm I'm only just starting to realise how much work I'm in for! So far I've added my live rock and rearranged this 3 times already so the water in the tank is still a little cloudy. When buying the live rock I appear to have ended up with quite a bit of Tongan rock which I have read doesn't filter as well does anyone have any advice on this?

you will add and re arrange your rock many times. At least I do until I find something I'm happy with for some months. It's gets a lot more difficult once you start adding corals and fish so keep that in mind. As far as your rock goes, I don't see how it would "filter" less considering it's live rock with live bacteria. Maybe the rock isn't as porous? I'm assuming you used live sand?
