What do you think? Pretty fish? Are they all this nice?

I have had one for 2 years now. He is about 5 inches long and the boss of the tank. Really cool fish.

Outstanding! Is he in with any females? If not, when does he flash?

Nope no females with him. He tends to flash at night time before the lights go out. Not sure why, maybe this is prime mating time, and he is just used to it.

Had I realized they were such nice fish I would have picked one up a while ago. Now to find the next best wrasse to buy !

That is a nice one. Mine wrasse doesnt have the yellow in the fins like yours instead they are bright red and blue when flashing. Just this afternoon I dislodged a bristle worm and the Velvet rushed over and gobbled it up. Didn't know he would do that. I think they are a underrated wrasse but they can be a little on the aggressive side. Great photos by the way!

lovely fish. I wish my fish stores got some in that would eat prepared food. fairys and flashers in my area are like 100% death. if they live something always happens either they find a way out even tho you make a hood and net to prevent them. Good luck with it.

No problem with prepared foods for this one. He ate the first day in the tank. He even eats the nori I put in for my hippo tang.
