New Reef Octopus BH2000

It's been a few years since I was on here, in fact I'd forgotten my old screen name and had to create a new one!

My question is this, I've installed a RO BH2000 on my 40B and I've seen many posts about microbubbles. Well mine is like a hurricane, its kicking out so many bubbles that they get pushed out into the return. No matter how low the air control valve is tightened down they get swept back around. Is this just normal "breaking in?"

If I just put on the silencer the column of bubbles explodes and my collection cup is filled with clear water in 30secs or so.

It just takes time to break in. I have the same skimmer on my 20 nano. As for your cup filling up, try adjusting the level of the cup to where the water barely comes up. Also I find that if you dose anything like liquid foods or coral glue micro-bubbles go crazy too.
