Just got a Canon S3IS and a photobucket account. Here's my first photo. It's my clarkii in his blue haddoni. He's playin' / lovin'. How'd I do?

Here's one that I took under 20k lighting using the custom wb. Kind of over compensated for the blue.

Very, very nice. I'm trying to decide between the canon or a Nikon s10. I've seen some great pics from the s3(including yours), I just wish it had a bigger lcd. I haven't seen anybody on here post pics from a s10.

Go with the S3 IS... I got this camera for christmas. OMG! The best quality camera I have ever worked with. I quickly read the manual... I find that supermacro mode is amazing. If you turn the ISO to shoot only... I took a picture of my fan going full speed... looked like it was standing still. I am not at home right now but ill take a few pictures of random stuff around the house to give you an idea of just how awesome this camera really is.

Those pictures are not photoshoped or zoomed in... if I were to photoshop or zoom them in its even more incredible.

I just bought this camera today and i can't get it to focus on my corals. How the heck do i get close ups of my Corals/Fish? I had the Kodak 8mega pxl 5x zoom and it was blurry so i took it back and got this one and im having the same problem. What am I doing worng. I know nothing about cameras.

if you read up on some basic photography and just practice you will be able to take good pics. took me weeks before i could get my s3 to work the way i wanted it to take pics. i started off just like u not know nothing about camera. good luck

what are your settings. I have no clue where ot start. I read some of the posts on here about ISo and shutter speed ect. but have no clue.

Hey... I am still learning just as you are... The best setting I have found thus far is scan/color swap/macro/super macro .... set the picture to M1 Superfine (press the function button)... Here is what I got last night...
