new shots of new tank

So after a long weekend, i came home to a broken center brace and a dead orange diamond goby (what do those fish do when iam not looking!) after a frantic call to Wayne I decided to take a wait and see approach. The next morning i had almost 4 inches of bow (broken pieces of brace were 4 inches away from each other) so I knew this old 55 gal tank with its narly silicone was done for. I braced it up and began the search for a used tank. I finally got my new tank up and decided to post some pics. I love finally having room under the sump and being able to put my skimmer down there. Its a oceanic reef ready 75 with a 20g long sump, an inline mag 5, remote fuge, modified seaclone 150 with a ato and a 10g ro tank. Everyone loves the larger swimming room and the new rockwork, especially the blue tang!

I know that feeling Brandon. I am already thinking about ~500. If 180 isn't enough already, why waste time with a 300 LOL

yeah, I wanted to get your skimmer andy but after the chunk of change i shelled out fot this and my wedding anniversary and mothersday landing 2 days apart, I knew that a skimmer upgrade would have to wait. I dropped a airstone down the reaction chamber of the seaclown and it skims much better now. Just super glad to have it in the sump! less microbubbles in the DT!

is there a chemical reason that my skimmer pulls junk better at night than during the day? It does not really make much during the day but is pulling a very wet skim overnight and i am wondering if this is a signal of something?

Gosh, that braced tank picture is so scary. I'm glad you didn't have a full blow out. Your new glass habitat looks awesome. Keep on fishin'...

thanks Steel Angel, half of those corals are frags of yalls, the brace break was wicked freaky, even after i clamped it it took a few days to find the new tank and the glass began to bow around the brace, the silicone was ratty so It was a good starter tank, i am amazed how much simplier it has been to maintain the new one with more sumproom and water volume!

speaking of corals, i think i want to try a purple cap, anyone got a frag?
