New Skimmer

So recently I ordered a new skimmer for my 120g I setup about 5 months ago. I went ahead and got the Bubble Magus 180EX. The skimmer arrived yesterday and wow, I wasn't expecting such a large skimmer. The dimensions can be deceiving I suppose. I went with a skimmer that was a bit large for my tank, as I plan on upgrading to a 200+ when I move in the next 12-18 months, and this was such a deal, I couldn't pass it up. So with a little TLC and some patience I was able to get this beast in my sump, and with literally a 1/2 inch to spare! Here are some pics.

That is a nice purchase. I had gotten a great deal for a friend for a SWC 160 cone with extra large collection cup and we know oh too well about squeezing a much larger Skimmer than expected into tight areas!!

My advice is to hit up Avast Marine and get a swabbie and a skimmate locker. Save you from fighting with the collection cup all the time.
