No water yet, but I have been playing with the settings on the unit. I had to set the Day White and Blue LED's to 80 for now, until they get me new power supplies. Long story.

Larry, we can't take to many more empty tank shots.....Lets get some livestock in there.lol What is the time frame for water and rock?

probably 2 months out. I am almost ready to plumb the system. right now I am trying not to cause the budget to go nuclear. :D so I have been buying equipment here and there.

I say kick the budget into warp speed, if you need any help spending your money I'm here for you.

they have a 2 year warranty, but the original 250w unit has only been out a year. the LED banks can be replaced over time, but since no one has had one from two years, I don't know what the cost is or how long they last beyond 2 years.

yeah I will bring it along, just as long as I can take it back home :D

You might want to transport it in an armored car and have security while you have it out. :D

I am ordering my vortech, and return pump this week. Then I can plumb the system. I am putting in the sink in the laundry room this week too, and getting it plumbed. Then on to the RODI which is sitting in the cabinet, and then I can water test. So actually in about a month or so I should have water. I check Reefer Rocks on saturday, but it appears they are done for now. Apparently the guy got hurt, and they aren't shipping any rock anymore for now.... :( so I now plan on buying 50# of Fiji base, and 25# of Tonga Shelf. I am planning on aquascaping with that, and then adding some LR to the fuge to help the cycle get started. I want to build the structures first, then set them in the tank, then adjust as needed. I plan on drilling some holes in the rock for plugs and rods as well.
