New SPS tank

Ok so I am in the process of setting up a new SPS tank. I will post pictures later. The tank is a perfecto 50 gallon tank that is 30" x 18" and 24" tall. I am using an overflow box and have a mag 3.5 as a return to get slow flow through the sump because the wife wants it quiet. I will be using an ASM G-2 skimmer and have a 250W 10K XM bulb on a magnetic ballast for light. For flow I will have a SEIO 1500 another PH rated at 400gph and then 2 or 3 modified MaxiJets on a wavemaker to make random flow. I have about 1/2" of crushed coral for substrate that will be siphoned regularly to remove things that are not kept suspended by all the flow. I will be using up to 80 - 90 lbs of live rock but will use less if I get a good looking aquascaping. The first corals that will go in are a purple rimmed cap, 2 x green polpy purple acros, red milli, yellow table acro, yellow acro, purple and orange monti digi. Let me know what you think and I will be sure to get pictures as soon as I start getting water in the tank which should be tomorrow.

Looks like a nice set up besides the crushed coral. I would really ditch it for a couple inches of sand. You don't want to be siphoning your reef tank. Make sure to be patient when adding acros to a new set up. I would start with the monti's and see how things go.

Actually everything is comming out of a tank that have been set up for months and the acros are doing fine in it. I will be keeping the live rock and water from that tank so I dont think there should be any proble should there?
