I had one like that, we loved it! It lasted for about 2 months then started turning white and basically disintegrated. I haven't tried another since! I hope yours does better than mine lol.

Purple Linkias are filter feeders, so dose phyto. If it starts loosing legs treat with tetracyclin.

He is beautiful! It was seeing a purple linkia in an LFS that cemented my decision to go into SW, but I'm too much of a chicken to try one. Keep us posted!

I was lucky enough to talk anna and olin into selling it to me. I believe it came from the sea of cortez on 1 of there dives they have had it for sometime in there 80 gallon show tank. I feed it phyto olin told me all about it being a filter feeder.I have had great luck with orange linkias in the past so I hope I will have the same luck with this guy.

Hopefully your purple linkia will do well. My orange linkias have never done well and I would be interested to see how your purple does.

Gary - I am glad to hear you purple star acclimated well. we have had three of them in the 80gal for over 8 months now and all have done really well.
