New store in Mentor...

Anyone heard about the new LFS in Mentor? I was told it is over across from the Mall next to Chucky Cheese. For a fish selection they only have fresh water fish at the moment but plan to have Salt at some point??

Anyone heard of this place? My aunt mentioned it last night as she was dropping off my cousins so this is all the info that I have...

The new store is a Petland. Like most chain stores they probably won't cater to the serious hobbiest, though they may be an option for basic supplies such as salt and maybe fish.

Thanks, that sucks. I was hoping for an independant store that might be able to do specialty stuff. =(

Whats the status of the old "Thier World" building? I'm in the process of piecing together equipment to hopefully start a Saltwater LFS at some point and still think that would be a good place to start. The best store (for livestock) that I've seen so far is Saltwater Paradise in Buffalo. Definately worth the trip as you can purchase whole colonies of corals for less than what most Cleveland stores charge for a frag. Amazing selection as well. Just picked up a huge Alveopora and Purple Tipped Frogspawn from them and they were thriving in my tank the next day.

There was a van and a truck in the parking lot one afternoon last week but other then that I haven't seen a car there for weeks. I don't know why they stood up the going out of buisness sale sign backup since the store is closed for good now. The building is still for lease as far as I can tell the for lease sign is still on the building.

The just put up a Now Hireing sign for the new Sheetz going in across the street! =) MMmmm Sheetz =)
