New Streams with Controller

Can these new pumps still be hooked up to a 7092, 7096 or 7095 controller even though they come with one? I thought I read somewhere that these can be used in conjunction with the 7090 on the new pumps (something about the settings on the 7090 need to be changed).

Yes, just set the 7090 to EXTERNAL and it then uses the controller plugged into it.

Is this something that needs to be changed internally or is this switch on the outside of the unit?
