So i got this new camera and it has this photo stitch feature which basically melts many pictures together as one...I practiced on my tank and this is the picture..my tank is a half circle...but imagine a long 180 or something ..you could have one full up close shot of the entire tank as it looks..

what do you guys think? It was my first attempt.

If you hadn't mentioned that it was stitched together, I might not have even noticed. Except for that crazy half fish swimming in the upper left side of the tank :) It looks sharp though - tank looks great. We've been thinking about trying to fool around with this idea to get some good detail shots of the new tank since the only way to get the whole thing in the picture is to stand almost 10 feet away...

By the way..supposedly all canon digital cameras have this feature built into the camera and is compatible with the included software called photostitch...I want to try this on someones long tank..and get all the length and detail..

Funny this came up. I was just searching around for a stitch program to make an extra large google earth image at a really high resolution (I need to make a map of centennial park for a project I'm doing for school since I'm struggling to locate a really good one).

The best free one I found that still allowed me a certain amount of flexibility in cropping and editing once it was done, that also did not include a bunch of really annoying stuff with it, and that allowed you to stitch more than one layer of pictures (top to bottom so that not all of the stitched images have to be one picture high panoramic shots) was autostitch.

It is free for individuals and companies as long as you are not profiting from them and you cite them when you display the work.

I had been trying to stitch together a few picture from a cruise I went on to Bermuda, but could never get it quite right. Knowing where the pictures go together, I can see some slight issues with the stitch, but bear in mind that this was taken with a crappy point and shoot that was self-adjusting its settings, was done free standing on a moving platform, and has an incredible degree of variability in lighting as you move across the separate pictures making up the image. In short, this is 10x better than the nearest thing I was able to make with the other free programs I could find.

We will have to try to on my tank some time BTW I still need to get your key to you I was going to leave it with your trailer but I forgot which one it was and we never got over to see you. How was the event in the boro?

When I went to visit him, there were a lot of people checking out the chairs and a lot of people complaining that they couldn't get back out of them (in a good way).

Tank looks great bro, that frogspawn is huge! the stitched picture looks great. I too would like to see it on a square tank.

that frogspawn has over 30 heads...4 of them broke off last week when I was moving something...my clowns have hosted that for 2 years now

I have seen this tank in person and you did a great job with the photo stitching CJ... Looks great!!!
So you have had 4 more heads break off the frogspawn since the ones I got from you?
