New sweet clam, Maxima or Crocea?

Here's the real tricky question on this clam. OK hardcore clam guys, would you consider this an Ultra? The reason I ask this is based off the marbling of the color. I won't say it's a Grade AA Electric Blue Ultra, but it's what most shops would sell as an Ultra. Some of you might know what I mean. I'm just talking about how it's colored now. And for those wondering, Maximas to my knowledge are commonly sold under 3 classifications, regular, ultra, and teardrop.

don't get to carried away with "grades" . ultra and electric are terms that people have put on clams to SELL them, and get more $. if you find a clam that is healthy, has a nice color and pattern that you like and is in the price range for you then buy it.

and that clam(the first one) is with out a doubt a Maxima. and with very little doubt a cultured ORA clam

Here is a better pic of the shell

Interesting shell. IMO a crocea shell normally has fine ridges on it, resembling a file. The maximas I've kept have had more pronounced "scales" or ridges toward the top than this one though, making it look a bit different from a typical maxima shell. I bet it has something to do with the amount of calcium in the water where he grew up in, and how quickly he grew. In any case, I still think its a maxima, and a very nice one.
