I think unless you have done a siphon drain, it's easy to fail to realize how much water a 1" siphon can move. I would stick with the plan to use the lager holes as your backups.

BTW, looks like a glasscages tank? Very nice!

the only way i could do a bean is with what i have and i can't drill anything. overflows are actually glass with plastic covers so can't drill into them to do a weir or a C2C and no drilling in the back with tempered glass. with all the searches I've done i have yet to hear a good bean setup with RR internal corner overflows ) : if you know something i don't please let me know!!

and tank will be mixed but mostly sps
