I've had fish since day2....Condys since day7...very new to this ive had 100$+ worth of casualties...get water tested weekly for nitrites this week he said it was .20.....its always been 0..I did a water change getting another test tomorrow before.getting a green bta with false...INPUT PLEASE!!

It sounds like your tank never cycled. Nitrate is the second stage of the process. You should also stay away from Nems until your tank is 6 months old or longer. If you read the stickies in the new to the hobby forum you would probably save yourself a lot of money and heartache. Go slow or you will loose a lot more money in fish.

Welcome to Reef Central!!

Stop putting anything in the tank till ammonia and nitrites are at 0 and stay there. Your tank is not done cycling, until this process is finished you cannot usually keep any fish alive let alone an anemone. There are a ton of stickies in the new to the hobby section this one is a good read!!

When you start having the type of problems you are experiencing the best thing to do is slow down and begin a little research, there is a ton of information on these forums to help you successfully get started!

So even after everything that has happened already, and having repeatedly been advised to slow down and let your tank mature, you apparently haven't visited the beginners' forums (which have been linked for you more than once) and you're planning to get another anemone and a clownfish? You're GETTING input, you're just ignoring it!

Yeah ride out the tank for a few more weeks.

This hobby is all about patience. You have to create the proper envorinments for this stuff to live in and it simply takes time (nature). If everyone could overnight a reef tank in their kitchen you would see one in every house :D

You can do things to speed things up here and there the more experienced you get but it sounds like you definitely need to let the tank cycle a tad more.

For sure do not add that gbta. The condy is 10x more hardy than a gbta. That's prob why it survived. A gbta would surely roast in your tank if you have ammonia present.

I would add hermit craps. They are cheap fun and great tank cyclers.
