new tank and flow question

How about an adjustable weir? That way you can set it exactly where you need it to be. How thick will the acrylic be?

Do you have an AutoCAD viewer? I'll draw up a quick detail later so you can see what I'm talking about. I can either E-mail it to you or save it as a JPG and post it in the thread.

Here's a quick and dirty drawing. The ovals are machined in the weir (about .27 x 1ish). There will be a coresponding hole (.25) drilled and tapped into the back wall. The weir will also have a knife edge. Move it up or down until your water level is just where you want it.

Make sense?

let me get the wine out of my system and I will PM you tomorrow. The drawing makes sense but I need the water level to rise 1/2 inch above the red lines-about 3/4 to 1 inch from the teal lines. There is a 3/4 inch lip/rim on top of what is drawn.
Thanks!

I found this pic of part of my closed loop in the tank. you can see the 1 1/2 intake (white bulkhead) and the 1 inch bulk heads in the corners. Each bulkhead has a valve right beneath it and also a valve at the other end, in the basement at the manifold for ease of maint tasks.
