New Tank Build

Today I just bought my 80G 42x24x16 Deep Blue rimless reef ready tank.
I bought the stand along with it.

Now I wont be setting this up until I move n a month or two. I haven't run an actual sump before so I will need to get a skimmer, return pump and I'm thinking a 40g for a sump.

will the length be fine for some tangs? I'm hoping to leave a lot of room with rockwork to accommodate them.

I have a foxface and want to upgrade for him plus the fact that I needed a sump rather than running all HOB like now, also to have chaeto in the system.

it'll be fine for a kole or a tomini but other tangs will need a larger/longer tank for long term IMO. you already have a herbivore in foxface so i would only get one tang. many fish with same ecological niche could lead to aggression issues. congrats on your new tank.

You can do the bristletooth tang genus. Kole tang, whites tailed tang, two spot, tomini, etc. Maybe an Atlantic blue tang (I feel like that tang police are looking at me as I say this).

+1 Your only real safe option are the tangs from the Ctenochaetus genus (the bristletooths), and then only one in that space.

I don't intend on adding a huge tang, i'm pretty realistic and know the tank isn't huge but I do know that the footprint is what matters for tangs.

Why I see haha. I thought that maybe the company took a long time to ship out tanks. Not sure why I thought that
