New Tank Help

First, thanks to all who've helped me as I've upgraded from my 55 to 120...there's been the psych-foaming skimmer, then the temp/lights/fans issue - I'm starting to get a handle on this due to some great advice from people on this forum (and the Tampa one as well).
Now I'm trying to be proactive concerning some new tank syndrome issues - namely algae growth. I THINK I see some stringy green algae (looks slimy like cyano, only green) AND some possible tufts of green hair (that is, if green hair algae looks like little poofy puff balls of green).
Anything I could/should do - or is it a wait it out situation?

Dont panic just yet, you WILL have cycle of algae and they are all manageable, clean up crew will help, keep an eye on phosphates and look at it as free food if any of your fish eat algae
