I should have pics by tomorrow on the setup.
The tank is 3/4 all black acrylic 36x36x11 top down view-no euro bracing
The stand is DIY 36 1/4 x 36 1/4 x 26 and the sump/refuge is 23x23x23 all clear acrylic. I have not had time to wrap the stand but it should be done by the middle of the month.
I am going to run a 400w 20k E59 ballast with a lumenarc type reflector for the main lighting 24x24x8.
The skimmer is a Octopus modded 200 and this thing is amazing! JMHO
I could not do the full 4 side overflow no matter how hard I tried-So it has 2 1in bulkheads for the drain about 1/2 in from the top of the tank and 1 3/4in for the return about 3in from the top of the tank. The return is powered by a Rio 2100. I have also installed a few Seio 620 from a few corners to meet in the middle of the tank for a wave effect.
The ripple effect on the water is minnimul so the view is not distorted.
I am still playing with the lighting and I ordered a few different bulbs 14k and 20k to see which brand/color I like best.
I will have about 150lbs of LR spread from all 4 corners/sides down with the middle 20x20 open.
I will have to break many large pieces of 30-50lb LR pieces into smaller 1 to 3 lb pieces, so if someone is looking for show size rocks-I will trade lb for lb
