New tank not flat on stand

Right in the middle of switching over from a 90g to a new 120g. Tank is a Deep Blue Professional 120g. I'm reusing the stand. Stand is almost completely flat. I pulled a small string tight across the length of the stand to confirm. The tank bottom seems to be bowed up a little in the front and sides. I'm wondering if this is by design and will flatten out? The tank corners are all laying flat on the stand as shown in the images below. Should I worry about this? The spacing at the widest is 1/16 of an inch. Appreciate some quick feedback.

Sure it's not your stand?

My thoughts were your stand as well. I wouldn't suspect the tank itself to be bowed

It's clearly the Cowboy stuff. You should remove it immediately.:lol2:

If it worries you, shim it.

With smaller tanks I know that that as long as the four corners are supported, you're fine. I'm not sure about 4' tanks tho.

Yeah, I concur that's highly unlikely that your tank is not true and most likely your stand. Pulling a string won't really tell you if your stand is straight. Take a right angle and level to your stand and check that it's true. That is too much of a gap at the center and will cause problems. All I know is if that were my setup, I would not trust it without some modification to make sure no part of the tank bottom is floating

Just used a builders square. It's only 24", but I used the glass as a straight edge reference to align the square. It's definitely the tank. The shape of the bottom is consistent on all sides.

Wow...that's a first. Never heard of glass tanks being built off level...especially bowed at the center. That's odd. Maybe they glued the plastic trim on incorrectly?? Would definitely contact the manufacturer and ask for a replacement. Keep us posted and by all means, do not put water in it as that's asking for trouble with that much of a gap

I use thick rubber yoga mats or construction styro under glass tanks that have no plastic edging. No sure how it would work on yours since yours has it
