New tank, OLD rock

I got a hold of a 29 biocube with stand, 40lbs LR, and a few critters. I have cleaned, scraped, and brought the tank back to near pristine condition. I had them throw the sand out as it was putrid. Tank had a 3" sandbed, ehich bred all kinds of nastyness.

Now for my question:

The rock, which is nice rock, dropped a few bristleworms when taking this tank down. 1 of them red. Now these were small, but where there is one, there is more. What can folks recommend to get rid of the worms and other potential nasties without killing the rock, if anything?

Honestly, I'd not worry about it, bristleworms are quite beneficial, they are excellent scavengers. Just watch out for them and they want get you.

My own 2 cents.

All in all the tank was a healthy tank, just neglected for the past month in a half.... a month in a half ago, the sand was white, not like it was when you picked up the tank. I told you before you come that the tank had been neglected now didn't I??
