new tank PH

I just set up a new 90 gallon with 88 lbs of tonga kaelini and a 5 inch sand bed 80 lbs southdown and 120 lbs arag-alive fiji pink. I used rodi water. My ph is reading 8.06 what should it be reading? Jim

mine read that same number at first but eventually droppedto like the 8.0 - 8.1 region

I put water in my 75 a couple of days ago. pH is 8.1. Somewhere in that neighborhood is supposed to be good.

I was just wondering because some of the rock curing directions said to keep the ph at 8.2 - 8.4. If I dont get that high how do you get it there?

The rock has been in the water for 24 hours now what should I be on the look out for and when do I need to do a water change. Jim
