Thanks, but I believe that mine is a Maxima.
It looks like a crocea to me too. Maximas have scutes on the sides of the shell. Very nice.

I think you guys are right on that one, I looked up pictures and how to tell the difference, and it seems to be a crocea. Works better for me actually because the croceas are supposed to stay smaller, right?

You wish it were a maxima. jk:D

This is what my baby maxima looks like. BTW, my crocea is right next to it.

Can I make a suggestion? You seem to have plenty of room up there..I would put the clam up in the rockwork at or near the top. Croceas are the most light demanding clams there are. You will notice in one of my new pics one of mine is at the bottom. For some reason he was not happy with the new tank. I suspect the high flow and/or old bulbs. The bulbs have been replaced, but I gave up the clam. It was my favorite of the two... it can now be seen at the shop.:(

Thanks for the adivce. I've been toying with the idea of moving it up where the favia is. Actually waiting on it to cement its foot down on its current rock well, and then I'll have the freedom to move it/the rock around.
