New Tank (Place to buy)

I'm looking to purchase a drilled 75 gallon tank & stand. I am currently unable to search this forum for the best shop; this question has most likely been asked before. Could anyone recommend one of the stores in your pet shop spreadsheet?

I am not currently a member of this club but I will become one at the frag swap the 11th.

Thanks,
Anthony

I would say either big als or have one made at exotic. That being said get in touch with rogger. I know he has a 75 with stand selling supper cheap.

I think Chris also still has his 65 and hood and stand for a great deal. Look for a selling post from "Ludwigia73"

I would highly recommend having some patience and checking out the classifieds.
You won't believe some of the deals you will find.
Almost nowhere else in America do you see the kind of turnover and availability of aquariums like in South Florida.

I got a 125g with cabinet, hood, 480w VHO, 30g wet/dry, UV sterilizer, PHs, LS, LR, corals, inverts, and fish for $300 just by being vigilant and searching the SunSentinel classifieds for a couple of months.

Right now I see in the classifieds the following:

75g black wood cabinet & accessories, SW setup $300 954-646-3292

85g w hood, stand, lights $350 561-445-4764

90g full SW setup, stand, VHO $275 obo 561-302-5658

65g SW w/ pumps, 4 fish, coral $400 954-704-9292

75g w/ wood stand, lights, undergravel filter $250 954-605-8441

75g and 35g w/ accessories and stand $150 954-319-1020

That last one is a great deal, and you get a 35g to turn into a sump/fuge to boot!
Of course, the best deals get snatched up the day the ad first runs so you really have to be ready to jump on it before anyone else.

The search function isn't working right now so I can't find the tank that Rogger is selling, but you could send him a PM also.

Good luck!

buying used is always the best deal, but if you want to walk into a store and pick it up then big als is the way to go.

I like new better. Its the one part of the system that age is not better. Remember seams in the glass age and when they get old it can be bad news. Big als is cheapest.

Beverlys pet center is not a bad place for new tanks....

Might also want to consider signing up for their email club..they send out some really good deals sometimes... For example I got my 40 lbs of live sand a while back for 19.56 cents.... can't beat it..

good luck..

When I was looking for a tank I found the best price at Big Al's. I did see that Beverlys had quite a selection as well but I didn't really price them out.

I ended up getting a tip from volunteerguy who found me a good deal on Craigslist for my 120g which ended up saving me some good money.
