New tank purchase

Hello All,
I'm looking for a new bigger tank. Perfect dimensions would be 60x24x24, should be a little less than 150 gallons. Currently "sc aquariums " has this tank with starfire front glass for 999 at 12mm. Ya seems like great deal, don't know about shipping or sales tax. Anyone have any knowledge of this Co.?
Would use for some coral and mainly triggerfish. I'm in NJ anyone know of a store that would carry this size, special orders means extra special. ..higher price. Thanks

I have a 120 gallon tank built by them and am very happy with it. I can't help you on shipping costs, I picked mine up locally.

Thanks for your help. I found a 125 gallon tank at a petsmart "district " store, they had a lot to choose from. So I got dimensions 72x22x23 for $505 with glass top table n lights. I'll craigslist the table n lights. Great deal. Long but the fish will appreciate the extra swimming room. Thanks again for your help, great site very helpful for this challenging hobby, that is the fun part.

120g is a great tank to have. Gives you ample volume, and a very nice footprint. It's big enough to host almost anything, and gives you a lot of room for growth.

Holy smokes, I brought the tank BUT discovered I couldn't drill it. Ya maybe I should have thought of that sooner. Returned it. Thus back to the beginning. Top gin tank says "do nor drill enclosure". My older tanks say "don't drill bottom" huge difference. Ok redo. Suggestions anybody?

Love my SCA as well, and you're getting a nicely built starfire/low iron type of glass, I would never hesitate to buy another, especially now they have made some improvements since I got mine, better stands and overflows/drains.
I also prefer deeper front to back than what a standard 125 gives, makes nice for scaping.

Why can't you drill it?

Unless it is tempered on the back, and or bottom, you can drill it.

There is a pretty large thread on people who own sc aquariums.

You would need to decide on what you want to put in the tank and also lighting. The 120 gallon 48x24x24 you could get 2 lights to cover it. The 150 60x24x24 would need 3 lights and this would cover about any standard LED light as most them cover a 24x24 area.

Shipping is included for free via LTL trucking service for the 48 States only. If you can't offload the truck from the truck, you can request liftgate service for $40 extra. The driver will use the liftgate to bring the aquariums to the ground for you.

Probably gonna need some muscle on hand to unload it. it doesn't look like they charge tax.

We, me n my son, we're looking to go more toward fish vs all reef. So we would use our AI prime in one opening and regular lighting in the others. Do you think the starfire is worth it?

dont buy bigger tanks from petsmart. imo they sell cheaper tanks. when you going big, 150 plus, imo its not worth saving a few hundred on a cheaper tank
