New tank questions

In the planning stages for a new reef tank. Looking at 120"x30"x24" - glass. Wondering if I should go 1/2" or 3/4", tempered or non-tempered.

Looking at customaquariums, but need advice on stand and sump (prices are crazy!).

24" is not very tall. You can go as tall as 36" on 1/2" glass if you add euro-bracing top and bottom. You wouldn't be asking about tempered glass in aquariums so much as asking yourself would you pay the extra for low-iron glass, which does not have the greenish tinge that regular glass has.

Had a structural engineer review my plans. Good to go. Looking at 120"x30"x24" with 4 H2Overflows, 4 Siphon Stoppers and a Seamless Sump.

Anybody know where to get a good quality stand that is cheap (cheaper than CA)? What about return pump(s)?

You could build your own stand much cheaper than buying one- so long as you have some basic woodworking skills and tools or welding skills if you want to go with metal.

mfarris, I like the idea. I built my stand for my current 55 and my old 120, just not too comfortable with building for a 350.
