New tank set up

Hi everyone,

I'm currently setting up an IM Fusion 20 tank. I've added live sand and live rock to cycle the tank, it has been 3 days already but I haven't detected any ammonia, nitrate and nitrite on my daily water testing. Does it mean the nitrogen cycle hasn't began yet? What should I be doing next to make sure I'm cycling the tank properly?

That is correct. You may want to ghost feed the tank for a week to add some nutrients that can break down. However it should take about 3-4 weeks to fully cycle.

Sorry for my lack of experience. Do you mean I should put food such as frozen mysis shrimp or pellet food into the tank? Thanks.

I just put flake food but you can do either. You just need something to jump start the cycle
