New tank set up

I just bought a Lemur 40"x22"x16" 3 side starfire rimless tank and stand. Tank is beautiful just needs to be cleaned. This will be my first reef tank. Ive been keeping freshwater planted tanks for about 8 years. So I'm not totally clueless on water parameters and fish tanks.
The first glaring issue I see is that it is drilled with only 2 holes! One feed and one return. No emergency hole available. What would you do in this situation? Ive read bean animal is best but that requires 3 holes. I was thinking of using the two drilled holes for overflow and then just run a return up the back of the tank.
Would I be better getting a hob overflow and just use the drilled holes for return?
Thanks for any insight.

Is the glass tempered? If not just drill more holes..

A bean setup is the "best"..
You couldn't pay me to run a HOB setup.. I have in the past.. I always worried about it and won't run one again..

thanks @mcgyvr I would drill but I don't know if theres room for a third hole within the overflow

If tempered, drill on the back. If you are not sure then I would hang the return. Your return isn't suppose to be in the overflow area

I would just use the two holes already drilled for a Herbie drain, and then run the return over the back.

I don't like (what appears to be) the original return going through the overflow like that.

If you want a Bean, then I would remove the original overflow section in the corner, then drill your holes in the back.
