Here are a couple new pictures of my tank. The individual that built my stand finished the canopy and I have added a few more things to the tank.

This could get ugly!

I would put your clam on a rock to attatch to. This way you can move him if need be instead of him attatching to the bottom of your tank.

Shots look nice

Yeah, I have been considering that Fireworm. The problem is I don't have a flat piece of rock. I may have to dig one up somewhere. I also don't think the clam likes the spot because he continues to move himself. As you can see in those pictures, I tried using epoxy to sort of pin him in but he still managed to get out...darn clam! :)

Nice tank shots. Crocea clams are boring clams and attach to rock by secreting an acid that eats into the rock so that they can bore into it with their byssal threads. A flat piece of rock will ensure your ability to move him later or move him if he doesn't like his position. You don't want him throwing himself off your rock work because he is unhappy..... :)

He is a little pain in the butt. I got a nice small piece of rock from my refugium and set him on it this evening. An hour later I come back and see he has knocked himself over again. Does it usually take them this long to settle down?

Sometimes. But it is usually because they are unhappy. Make sure you have him in a spot with low flow.
