From John at King Fish John in Austin,TX:
“AGE is developing 4 "standard" tanks. They will all be rimless and braceless, have 3 sides starphire, a 1" PVC bottom, and the option of an internal or external overflow. The 4 sizes are 18x18x18, 30x18x16, 24x24x24, and 36x24x24.75. They are still developing the cabinet and packaging but they have the glass ready to go. The largest of these tanks is quoted below:â€Â
36x24x24.75
3/8" glass, rimless and braceless
Starphire front and ends
1" type 1 PVC bottom
External OF on the back
Around $1000
The sketch-up below gives you an idea how this tank will look with my 24†250watt Giesemann Infiniti fixture. What do you think of the size? I originally requested a quote for a 36x24x20 because I didn’t want something so tall but they told me that the quoted size will be cheaper since it is not a custom size. I’m thinking now that I drew it up it’s not so bad. Thoughts?
