New tank, water quality questions

Have a couple of concerns/questions I would like to run by everyone. I have a 75 gallon with a small colony of xenia and a small CUC. after the tank cycled I had a diatom/green algae bloom. Water parameters at the time were 0s across the board. Phosphate was 1-2. Dunked the CUC in and waited about a week or so. Checked water again and 0s across the board still. Dunked the xenias on a piece of live rock( 2lb piece) from a neighbors tank. A week or so later the xenias closed up and the skimmer started going nuts and Another diatom bloom. Checked the water parameters again and 0s across the board still. Phosphates still around 1-2. Did a weekly 10% WC. still xenias closed up diatoms keep coming and water parameters are still in check. Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates are 0. PH is around 8-8.2 and water temp is 78. Only equipment I'm running is a HOB reef octo skimmer bh2000 and a HOB Aquaclear 110 with a bag of media for a QT tank if needed. Current dual leds with pump control running 2 wave pumps. RODI is a Soectrapure and Red Sea salt. I'm new to the saltwater hobby. I'm coming over from Discus. So I have no idea what I'm doing.

Any suggestions what to check or do?

What is the time frame on all of this? My tank is about 4-5 months old and I just now am coming out of diatoms & algae. Mostly you have to wait stuff out. I have an explosion of pods, hydra & flatworms now. I figure if I am concerned about something, I should check the parameters daily. If the parameters are good then wait longer. Eventually what seems like a problem will level out. Keep cleaning out your skimmer cup and watch your salinity, if you dump 2 cups a day, then you are replacing with ato water, it could slowly bring it down. An extra water change never hurts either.

And that's what I was thinking. Just wait it out. Things still need to lvl out some.

To answer your question. It took about 4 weeks to get to the diatom bloom/ cycle. I waited about 2 weeks and added the CUC. then waited another week and threw in the xenia. A week after adding the xenia another diatom bloom and skimmer craziness. And that's been going on for 2 weeks. Soooooo total time....almost 3 months
