New tank with existing live rock

So i just started up a 50 gallon tank with 40lbs of live rock from my well established 200 gallon tank. I have a bakpak skimmer and a HOB filter with purigen in it.

I currently do 1% daily automated water changes on my 200 gallon and plan to do very frequent small changes for the 50 gallon with this water. DT water params are very stable due to dosing and biopellets (Alk 8.3, Cal 440, Mag 1380, Phosphates .03, Nitrates <25ppm).

I am currently holding two clownfish, a turbo snail, and a peppermint shrimp in the 50 gallon. I think my main concern would be ammonia build up, right?

Is there a concern with the bacteria in the live rock being fed enough?

Basically, looking for confirmation that this setup should be good for now. thanks.

I'd keep an eye on it. May be a good idea to put some of your 200 water in there since it has a lot of nutrients and beneficial bacteria. That's just my opinion. Maybe someone smarter than this hillbilly can chime in.

I plan on swapping out 4 gallons of the 50 gallon water for used water from the 200 gallon for the time being. This water is "free" from my daily water changes, so i might as well use it.

If the LR was kept wet and did not have die off you will be fine. Assuming the 200 gallon was up and running with fish.

I did similar before starting a new tank taking rock from my other established, along with the rock I also did a couple pounds of sand, with the established rock and seeded sand no cycle was needed I was adding livestock 48 hours after starting to set it up.

BTW water from established tank wont do much the beneficial bacteria is in the rock and sand not in the water column.

Yeah, shouldn't be a problem. You should be fine, just keep an eye on ammonia and stuff. And do regular water changes.

I started my bow front with some live rock from some ones established tank and seeded with my sand out of my 90g and 15g of my water change water and it cycled with spikes in a week I waited about a month before I added anything to it but I was shocked it worked that fast. I also used prime with weekly water changes until it was ready for livestock
