new tank with leak... help...

well i got my new aquariam... (the small one not the big one..) but it has a little crack in the bottom black plastic around the whole bottom... and it is leaking on that side.. i was hoping it was just from putting water in so i wiped up the water and went to bed and i would find out in the morning if it was leaking.. and it is, there was some water all along that side and a bit in the front...

now i drained all the water out and took the rocks out.. now its just sand and a little bit of water still at the bottom.. i was going to take the sand out rince it off and maybe do a resealant on the corners??? or should i just go buy a new tank?? it ended up being only 15 gallons.. so i could get a 20 long for like under 40$ or i can buy sealant for 8$... but will it work?? i jsut dont want to do all that work and still not work....

that is what i was thinking, just getting a new tank.. at least i got this tank for free and it came with a filter.. lol they had it wrapped real good with styrofoam and everything.. maybe they didnt realize itwas leaking not sure, but it seems pretty old..

Definitely new tank, not worth the risk.

buy a new tank don't waste effort pressure will probably cause it to leak again anyway

I fixed my own but I agree, buy a new one. I had no cracked Plastic. Mine just needed restoring. Classic, Old

yeah i dont think they realized it was cracked.. they were so careful with all the packing butits been in the box for who know how long.. (got it from my bf's mom..) shes such a sweety... but yeah sucky it was cracked.. ill get a new one today.. and i think i can get a bigger than 20 gallon.. i just got my years worth of tips just now! woohoo! I LOVE CHRISTMAS! lol

ok i got a new tank.. (same size) ill just pretend that is was never leaking....
