Nice stand!
On regards to your tank, make sure to have plenty of insurance coverage. Have an Insurance Agency, we have clients and their condos have leaks that go down and affect many units below them, the bill gets very expensive. Just a suggestion.
What's the intended livestock?

Yeah when I first moved in I had a leak from my brand new refrigerator go figure, and actually had a small amount of water leak down to the unit below me from a small hole in my utility closet where the comcast cable goes to their unit. No damage to the unit below but I should seal the hole with silicone now that I think of it :eek2:

And as far as livestock i'll be transferring everything from my 72g over and plan on adding some damsels/chromis ( I like the fact they are pack fish and swim together), possibly a pair of yellow tangs, maybe a blue spot jawfish or some other goby. I defiantly want to get some more LPS corals!

180 to a second floor .....cmon man that's child's play ....try this lol.....looks good Welcome

if it's not the new refrigerator it's the washer, the bathtub , toilet or the sprinkler system going off for 20 mins because a little bit of oil burned on the stove.. Anything can happen in a condo.. lol

And nice, schooling fish are always nice to look at. Good luck :fish1::fish1::fish1: will be following along

You aint kiddin, Its always something!!

And yeah school fish are awesome to watch. I would love to get a baby snowflake eel but have heard hit or miss things about eels. Some people say they dont touch the fish at all and some people say they mow through anything in the tank. I wish I could pick a friendly one lol. I guess its all depending on the size/frequency of feeding and the types of fish. Just my guess though

Snowflakes are awesome. I would say go for it. I would put the snowflake in last. And make sure the fish aren't small and well established

Yeah I love going to my LFS and looking at the snowflakes. I was looking at the Hawaiian golden dwarf eel originally but found out even though they stay smaller they are more aggressive then the snowflake (from what I read) and they also have actual teeth vs the snowflake being more of a sandpaper like mouth.

Either way Ide hope that if I got a snowflake he'd be friendly lol :bounce2:

I have a snowflake that I hand feed. It's probably around 12" right now and has never bothered any fish or inverts...

Does anybody have any advice about refugiums for this size tank? I have it narrowed down to
1. Proflex model 4
2. eshopps R-200/300
3. ADHI Refugium 45

I like the proflex due to the built in bubble traps but they are supposedly out of stock till 2015!? makes me lean to the eshopps due to price but they seem so basic and plain..

I'm a huge fan of diy. Tho no idea what tank I'd use.
+1 DIY. Figure out what skimmer you'll be using and the total footprint including its pump FIRST! Nothing is more frustrating than needing a larger skimmer chamber or refugium area and not being able to change that. What if you decide to go from lower-nutrient to higher-nutrient processing?
Fwiw, glass tank with plexiglass dividers siliconed in. You can cut along the silicon seam if you need to change your sump configuration. There are some great videos on YouTube for DIY sumps. If you can't do it yourself or at a friends house, custom sumps can be commissioned very reasonably from your LFS.

Yeah I wish pet Co did the dollar gallon sale more then twice a year. Ide purchase a 50g long tank and build it myself!

I think I'm going to go with the eshopps sump. They go for pretty cheap on ebay :bounce1:

update on tank. Background is painted blue. Ordering lights and sump this week hopefully

Looking good just one question why you picked blue for the blackground

Well on my 72 I have the double sided background that u just tape on and I tried with both black/blue and the black just made the tank look darker and dead lol :lolspin:. The blue makes it look more alive and "pop" more, just my opinion :fish1:

I like blue. Coming along nice. I would think minimum a 40 breeder for a sump. If you want to get fancy you could plumb in a second tank as a fuge, propagation tank or just more volume.
