For those of you wanting updates on additions...well here she is...Ginger!! She just came home with us today. A 9 week old golden retriever puppy. My new friend!!

Dirtyhermit...I hope to get down to Sea Schor (where the display tank you saw) this weekend. They are having a super big sale, guest speakers, local frags from big time reefers ect. I'm taking my camera for they apparently have rearranged the tank and have many frags available. If it's not too crazy in the store I'll try and get some updated pics. I hope to pick up a few goodies while I'm there.

Zenn...ahh you're too kind. I don't think the tank is anything showstopping just bigger than most tanks that people see on a regular basis. Thanks for the nice words though!
I'm still waiting for a ship date on the skimmer. I've been told we are getting close but I really don't know what that means as far as time frame. Hopefully soon for many of the fish I would like to put in the system have been coming available and would like to keep the water quality high. Perhaps some new pics this weekend.

Well, I went to my favorite local "watering hole" today for a super sale that they were having. The place was packed and it was hard to really look for people were buying things so fast it was hard to see things as the employees were pulling corals from the trough. I did manage to snap a few pics of their display. The photos do no justice to the colors of the corals.

By far the best shop I have ever seen. Not real big but not only do they have high quality livestock but weekly shipments as well. I have seen some weeks where they will bring in over 100 pieces of sps alone. If you are ever in the Northern burbs of Chicago (near Buffalo Grove) look them up. Well worth the trip.
I did manage to pick up a few nice pieces. Everything was 25% off so I HAD to come home with a few pieces. I need to do a little rearranging and then post a few new pictures.

Well, I'm not sure TOTM is in my future but it's something to shoot for.
