New Tank?

When setting up a new tank, is it possible to set up in this order? Assuming tank is in postion, leveled and leak checked.

1. Fill tank with RO/DI water

2. Slowly add salt to tank and have some powerheads going to mix water and a heater. Get salinity to correct level.

3. put eggcrate on bottom. (If using eggcrate)

4. Let sit for 48 hours to age the water.

5. Add liverock and aquascape.

6. Let sit for 24/48 hours

7. Add sand through a long 2"tube

8. Cycle tank

That is the order however when we do that in our clients homes the entire process is done in about 4 hours for a 200 to 300 gal tank also we just dump the sand and blow it off the rocks with a turkey baster after it settles .Using a 2" pipe to get the sand to the bottom will cause a sandstorm anyway that is why we just dump it in.
